Michael and Oxana Petrov, Russian American Chamber of Commerce and Staten Island JCC dedicate our yearly "Borislav Strulev and Friends on Staten Island - From Classical to Jazz" event to friends and families on Staten Island.
First part of the event will feature Gennady Katsov - a famous poet presenting his project SLOVOSFERA. SLOVOSFERA is poetry dedication to famous paintings. During this year the author finished his book and presented the project in multiple art clubs and galleries in New York. We are happy to have him on Staten Island.
Next part will feature - Vadim Neselovskyi - famous pianist and composer, Berklee professor, former sideman of Gary Burton will present his group - Agricultural Dream. Last year Vadim was awarded the prestigious MacDowell Fellowship while a year before he won the Second Gran Prix at the Martial Solal International Jazz Piano Competition in Paris.
And finally - star of the evening - a magnificent performer and showman, miracle cellist Borislav Strulev with his brilliant program "Borislav Strulev and Friends - From Classical to Jazz".
Russian cellist Borislav Strulev has been fascinating audiences on some of the world’s most prestigious stages since his U.S. debut at the Kennedy Center in 1993 arranged on initiative of Isaac Stern, Former World Bank President James Wolfensohn and Byron Janis. His charismatic personality, a virtuosic technique and extraordinarily large and beautiful tone have combined with the mature sensitivity of his interpretations to ensure his place amongst the most exciting young instrumentalists to emerge from Russia in recent years. Critics call him a “soloist ... with a rich, singing tone” - The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle said of Mr. Strulev he “boasts an enormous, gripping sound, full of bright colors and effortless power; when he plays he commandeers the sonic spotlight with ease.” Associated Press wrote ''cellist Borislav Strulev, channeling no one, or perhaps God.''
We expect more great local musician to join and jam on the stage.

В программе, специально подготовленной к юбилею, прозвучат знаменитые произведения западных и русских композиторов и музыкальные сюрпризы!
Камерный оркестр «Виртуозы Москвы», во многом благодаря выдающейся роли Владимира Спивакова, получил широкое признание публики и критики, и давно стал одним из лучших камерных оркестров мира.
“Оркестр неисчерпаемых возможностей и стопроцентной эмоциональной отдачи” — так говорят об этих музыкантах строгие и взыскательные критики, которых чрезвычайно трудно чем-либо удивить.
